The artist Josée Nadeau was born in Montreal, Canada in 1963. She is the protege of Gerald Van der Kemp, former curator of Château Versailles and Claude Monet's Giverny gardens. Van de Kemp loves his brushstroke and the color of his palette. From 1998 to 2008 he invited her to an artist residency on the lands of Claude Monet in Giverny. There she will have the use of the garden as she pleases and paint her heart. Her colors are soft and capture the freshness commented on by Hubert de Givenchy.
Following the death of Gerald Van der Kemp in 2001, his wife Florence introduced Nadeau to Parisian and international high society.
Josée Nadeau divides her time between Florida and Europe.
